CAD believes that all-year-round cultivation is the main farming system for higher food production of farmers in Chin State. Therefore with financial support of our donors, CAD has been able to support agri-infrastructural development to selected farmers by providing irrigation-pipes, techniques, capacity development and fencing. Currently, amid intensified fighting between the army and youth armed groups in Myanmar, we see that all farmers in Chin state tilled their farms, all uplands and lowlands are being occupied with seasonal crops, and we hope that our farmers will have sufficient food for a year.
